What happens at a Photography Wedding Consultation?
Whilst planning your wedding day, you’ll no doubt have spent a lot of time on the internet looking at local suppliers in Nottingham, Derby and the East Midlands. And once you’ve got shortlist, you’ll be looking to reach out to them and check their availability.
When it comes to discussing wedding photography, each photographer will have a different approach. Some may choose to chat to you via email, others on the phone, or Skype and many will actually invite you for a chat in person.
Our consultations are a little different. During our consultations, we love to meet up in person, grab some coffee (and cake - Dave can’t resist a piece of cake!) and have a chat. A lot of photographers do that, however unlike most, we offer you a a free, no-obligation pre-wedding photo-shoot.
So how does it work?
Usually couples get in contact via Facebook, email or phone and sharing their wedding date and location as part of the enquiry. Once we’ve checked if we’re available for your big day, we’ll arrange a time and date to meet you both for a chat.
These wedding consultations allow us to do a number of essential things:
1) To discuss your plans for your wedding day
2) To get to know each other a little before you sign up
3) To talk about how we work in the run-up, on the day and after your wedding
4) To show you some examples of our wedding photography and sample albums.
What about our pre-wedding photo-shoots? What are they for?
We also offer a free, no-obligation to book pre-wedding photo-shoot during which we’ll go for a short walk, explore a local beauty spot or favourite place you like to go. This is an opportunity to feel comfortable in front of the camera, get to know how we work and ultimately get some great images of you which you can use for your save the dates, invitations or just keep them as beautiful images for yourselves.
We know how important it is for clients to have a chance to digest all the information and chat between each other to be able to make an informed decision. So there’s never any pressure to make a booking at the consultation unless the client insists. At the end of the consultation we will ensure you have all the information you need to make the decision and instructions on how to book - a contract and a deposit will need to be signed and paid to secure the date.
P.s. if you’d like to book a consultation and free, no-obligation, pre-wedding photo-shoot then we’d love to hear fro you. Please feel free to get in touch via our website.
