We needed to know more though, so we chatted to Laura, and asked her about her business, what inspires her creativity and what makes it so special.
Where are you based and how far from Nottingham do you travel?
“I work from my home studio in Long Eaton and cover all of the East Midlands (and beyond if requested!)”
How would you describe your business in three words!
“Personal. Bespoke. Delicious!”
What inspires you in your business?
“To be able to play a small part in such a happy and important day. Plus the opportunity to earn a living from being creative. I love the challenge to get creative with both design and flavour.”
On average, how much do couples spend with you?
“This is a tough one as all my cakes are bespoke, but a rough guide is a three tier sponge cake to serve approximately 100 people starts from £325.”
What makes your business special?
“I work closely and collaboratively with each couple through the wedding planning process, which includes a wedding cake consultation, where we can discuss ideas and they can obviously try some cake! I can then create a personal and bespoke wedding cake for them to enjoy on their Big Day!”
