Why do we think Rock ‘n’ Roll Baker is an awesome baker?

I first discovered The Rock ‘N’ Roll Baker on Instagram. My mindless zombiefied scrolling was stopped instantly by Sonia’s incredible cakes. You can see a tonne of pictures of them over on her website gallery – simply stunning! I love this quote from her website which sums up her style “If Damien Hirst baked cakes, perhaps this is how they might look.”

We wanted to know about more about Sonia, what inspires her and what makes her business so special. So we asked her a few questions:

Where is Rock ‘n’ Roll Baker based and how far do you travel?

“I am based in Orston (near Bingham). I usually stick to the Nottinghamshire area but I am close to Grantham so I also deliver around here. For weddings though, I will tend to travel further, I’ve even deliver a wedding cake to Chester!”

How would you describe your business in three words?

“Fun, creative & tasty!”

What inspires you in your business?

“Everything around me (for the design process). I have a mega sweet tooth myself and love all food so having the best tasting cakes is also right there at the top.”

On average, how much do couples spend with you?

“Hard to say as I cater parties from 10 up to 200, celebration cakes are around £80-£100 on average and for wedding cakes £450 is average.”

What makes your business special?

“I think that would be my creative style and my passion for creating all of you incredible cakes 🖤”
