Got a fancy camera but still stuck on auto? I get it – I was exactly the same! It wasn’t until I went on a photo walk with a pro about 15 years ago that things finally started to make sense.
That’s when I learned about shutter speed, aperture, ISO – and most importantly, why they actually matter.
Now it’s my turn to pass that on. These laid-back, hands-on sessions are all about helping you feel more confident with your camera and actually enjoy using it.

All my lessons are one-to-one so I can tailor everything to your level and what you actually want to learn.
We’ll go at your pace, cover what makes sense for you, and make sure it’s fun along the way.

For one-to-one lessons, we’ll head out on a relaxed photo walk somewhere lovely in the Nottinghamshire countryside or a nearby park – the perfect way to learn as we go.
Whether you’re completely new to photography or just want to get more from your camera, I’ll tailor the session to your level.
No experience needed – just bring your camera and a bit of curiosity!
How Much Does It Cost?
I like to keep things nice and easy.
I offer 90-minute one-to-one sessions (£85), or you can book a block of five sessions for £325 (£65 a lesson) if you want to really dig in and keep the learning going.
Whether you’re after help with camera basics, want to troubleshoot something specific, or fancy trying out some new techniques, there’ll be plenty of time to ask questions, experiment, and improve your skills.
Can I Buy This As A Present?
Yes, they make a great present, especially for someone who’s just been given a camera.
You can buy a voucher online: one lesson for £85 or five lessons for £325. Add their name and a message, and I’ll email you the voucher as a PDF within a day, ready to print or forward. Vouchers last 12 months, and they can book a date with me whenever suits them.
