BEGINNER’S PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES, NOTTINGHAM
Local photography courses by Dave, a professional wedding and family photographer (that’s me!)
Many people absolutely love taking photographs. There’s a temptation to splash out on that flashy camera with all the buttons and settings but then never take it off auto mode. Sound familiar?
Don’t worry, I’ve been there too, so I won’t tell anyone if you don’t! What helped give me the motivation to get off auto mode and make the most of my camera was going on a photo-walk/ photography workshop with a professional photographer, around 10 years ago, to talk about the other modes, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and all that other stuff I had no idea about! But most importantly what works & the theory behind why it works.
So here’s your chance to do just that!
What will I learn on this photography course?
This really depends on your experience and what you’re looking for. You might be a total beginner looking for some basic steps to get you going in the world of photography, you might have got a new camera and have no idea where to even start, you could even be pretty familiar with your camera but never taken it off ‘auto’ mode and need a little push to give it a go. All of these are absolutely fine, I only offer one to one courses so whatever you’re after I can tailor the lesson to suit you.
How does it all work?
Once you’ve signed yourself up. I’ll be in touch to chat about your experience, camera and what you want to get out of your session, and then I’ll get planning a tailormade session just for you!
We’ll choose a lovely location, somewhere in the Nottinghamshire countryside or at one of the beautiful parks, for a photo walk where we will have plenty of hands-on practice taking some great photos.
I will tailor it towards what you need, whether that’s the very basics of using your camera and composition or you’re a bit more experienced and want to get the most out of your camera.
You really do not need to know anything about photography to benefit from this training, all you need is a passion to learn and have fun with your camera!
How much does it all cost?
I like to keep things nice and simple, so I offer 2 hours in-person one-to-one sessions. I find this is the perfect amount of time to get to know what you’re after, talk through any problems you are having and do some experimenting and learning different techniques.
These sessions are either:
