Laura and Ashley’s outdoor wedding, Pitt Hall Barn, Hampshire
How many of you wish, or have wished, for an outdoor ceremony in the the middle of a whimsical, fairy tale woodland? But risking the good old British weather put you off. Well, Laura and Ashley took that brave chance for their September wedding and had their wish granted! It was touch and go on the day, with the skies threatening to open, but at the last minute the registrar declared, “You shall be married outside” and saved the day. Hooray!
So, we walked up the hill to the entrance of the woodland…
…tracked through the meandering forest path…
…and met the congregation in a beautiful clearing, with flowers studding Laura’s path down the aisle.
We both loved Laura’s bespoke dress, the woodland flowers, the hula hooping displays from the bride and groom (Laura is definitely better though, sorry Ashley), and the genuine good vibes from the guests, who danced ‘til the clock struck midnight. A particularly special touch was that they merged their surnames together to create a new one: Cox + Housden = Coxden!
Thank you for having us as your photographers, Mr & Mrs Coxden, we wish you both health and happiness for the rest of your years together.
