Shannon & Jamie’s Wedding | May 2022
When Shannon & Jamie got in touch and said they were planning a Lord of the Rings themed wedding including axe throwing, archery, a sword to cut the cake, and a whole lot of Lord of the Rings and gaming music at Bordesley Park I was very much hoping they would book and thankfully they did because it was a really fun day from start to finish.
They both got ready at the venue and then, after a legal ceremony inside, they had a really touching personalised outdoor ceremony with lovely readings, candle lighting involving their parents, and a hand-fasting ceremony. Then things got really fun! They had archery, Lord of the Rings themed music, an alternative guest book, a sword for cutting the cake, firepits and, I think possibly my favourite, grandparents throwing axes!
This was also one of our first wedding highlight videos which you can see in full below – as you can probably guess it was a fun one to record!

We cannot thank you guys enough for being a part of our day, we got on that well some of the guests thought we had been friends for a long time!
From the get go Dave was fully on board with our plans and ideas and helping us come up with some of the ideas for photos.
On the day (30th May 2022) Dave and Amy arrived and made sure we were feeling ready and okay for the day. And from then they worked fabulously, fitting into the wedding and getting some bloody awesome photos!!
We were so relaxed throughout the day and it felt so good to just give them full trust to capture our special day for us. Everytime I had a thought of “ooo I should ask Dave to grab a photo” he was already there snapping away!
It was such a pleasure to have you guys capture our day, and it was awesome to get a sneak peek the day after.
From us and all our guests I think a huge thank you is in order.
You guys were absolutely fabulous and it was a pleasure to meet you and have 2 extra buddies for the day! So much appreciation for you both”
