ENGAGEMENT PHOTOSHOOTS & ADVICE

Fran & Jack’s Engagement Shoot | July 2022

I’ve been to Arnott Hill Park many times, we used to live in Mapperley which isn’t far away, and actually used to do boot camp there so needless to say I’ve got a mix of experiences there from doing push ups in the snow through to lovely summer’s evenings exercise. I’d often thought it would…

Micael & Fiona’s Engagement Shoot | April 2022

Fiona & Micael’s engagement photoshoot at the Nottingham Arboretum was a really fun one although it wasn’t quite the experience any of us expected. Having been to the Arboretum in the middle of the day a couple of years back it seems like a really lovely city centre park with lots of fun spaces –…

Karis & Martyn’s Engagement photoshoot | May 2022

Oldmoor Woods is definitely one of my favourite locations for an engagement shoot and even more so during bluebell season. The sea of bluebells just keeps on going and usually, it’s actually pretty quiet and you tend to get away with only seeing a handful of people out walking dogs. Karis and Martyn certainly enjoyed…

Franki & Dave’s Engagement shoot | April 2022

As Franki & Dave live around the corner from us I was lucky enough to meet them in person three times before their wedding this summer and their engagement shoot at Oldmoor Woods was one of those occasions. Bluebell season is one of my favourite times of year for photography and Oldmoor Woods is my…

Kate & Bence’s Engagement shoot | April 2022

Strangely enough, I find engagement shoots are so often more suited to those who don’t feel naturally feel that comfy in front of the camera. It’s actually people like Kate & Bence who openly would suggest they weren’t the happiest being photographed (as do many of our couples when they book) that get the most…

Amy & Ross Engagement shoot | February 2022

Having only met Amy & Ross on Zoom up to this point, it was lovely to meet Amy & Ross in real life at the lovely Elvaston Castle in Derbyshire. We’d chatted about their wedding before but it was great to meet them in person and go for an explore and have a bit of…

Lynsey and David | Engagement photoshoot | Creswell Crags

During the summer, I had the pleasure of meeting another lovely couple – Lynsey and David, who we first met at Tying the Nott wedding festival in the Spring. When deciding a location, there was only one place for them – Creswell Crags. After finishing university it was the place David started his career as the curator, showing visitors around the ancient caves in the then wooden shed – it’s since had an amazing new building and had lots of developments (some of David’s legacy!)! We love it when a venue means something to our couples and, it meant I was given free a guided tour – win win!!

Linda and Andrew’s engagement photo session

We recently had the pleasure of meeting with Linda and Andrew ahead of their wedding lovely outdoor wedding in a beautiful garden at Linda’s parents house.

We met for a coffee at Wollaton Hall first to discuss the plans for their ceremony which will be taking place in May of next year. We loved hearing their story and getting to know them and their wedding plans.
